An Exhibition of Student Art from six Poultney Area Schools

Stone Valley Arts at Fox Hill is thrilled to host this inaugural student art exhibition to feature an exciting selection of original art work created by students from the following schools:
- Poultney High School :Melissa Kristiansen, Art Teacher
- Poultney Elementary : Lisa Whitman, Art Teacher
- Fair Haven High School :Kristen Partesi, Art Teacher
- Green Mountain Community School : Sarah Elworthy, Art Teacher
- LiHigh School: Danny Lang /REclaimED Maker’s Space, Art Teacher
- Leap Frog Pre-School, Jaime Milazzo, School Director and Teacher
Students and their families, teachers and the public are welcome to the Opening Reception for Imagination Grows on Main Street

on Sunday, May 22 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
In addition to the gallery show at SVA, “Imagination grows on Main Street” is a part of Poultney Art Day which takes place on Friday, May 27 from 9 :00 am-4:00 pm. Students from Poultney area schools have the opportunity to participate in a full day of art activities happening along Main Street. Annie Daley and Melissa Christiansen (Poultney High School) spear headed Poultney Art Day which has grown into an exciting all day event along Main Street and this year will include evening activities with performances by the Hermit Hollow Band, SVA dance students and Dance Collective starting at 5:00 pm on location (rain or shine) at Stone Valley Arts. Music will be provided during the day by students from the Lihigh School. This is a collaborative effort by artists from S.A.W. (Salem Art Works) Green Mountain Community School, REclaimED, Poultney Public Library and Stone Valley Arts.

Poultney Art Day is a unique opportunity for students to observe, learn and /or work with many different artists including a glass blower, blacksmith, raku ceramic artists, painter, wood worker and Shibori tie-dyeing.

Stone Valley Arts is a 501(c)3 non-profit community arts organization that began in 2013 as a response to community needs identified by the Poultney 2020 revitalization movement. The purpose of Stone Valley Arts is to provide classes, workshops, presentations, and events in the visual, performing and literary arts for all ages and levels of experience. Our goal is to enrich the quality of life in the region by integrating the arts into the fabric of the community.
SVA is located in an old stone church, built in 1822, across from Poultney High School, at 145 E. Main Street, Poultney, VT.
