Join SVT for a moderate hike/snowshoe/ski starting from the snowplow turnaround on Castleton Birdseye Road. Parking is available ~2 miles from Rt. 4A in Castleton on Birdseye Road. This outing is to encourage folks to get out and explore the greater Poultney area.

The pace will be casual, but the surface (snow, dirt, ice?) will dictate the effort needed. The outing will cover a minimum of 5 miles. Folks should plan to bring snowshoes, fishscale skis, and/or spikes. Bring some warm layers, water and snacks.

Inclement weather (downpour, thunder, blizzard, etc.) will cancel the event. Note that there may be some snowmobile traffic on parts of the hike, so short leashes are recommended for any dogs who may join.
